Another LEGO Ideas submission has been removed from the 2023 review stage

Despite making it past the 10,000 supporter mark, one LEGO Ideas submission has now been removed from the first 2023 review.

Originally garnering a lot of attention on Twitter, SuperSirLink's The Hearthean's Ship From Outer Wilds made it into the review stage on March 30. However, the LEGO Group has now removed it from the first review stage of the year, bringing the total number of potential sets down to 67 – which is still a record-breaking number for LEGO Ideas.

"Firstly, thank you for building and submitting your very well-done The Hearthean's Ship From Outer Wilds," wrote the LEGO Ideas team on the submission page. "Unfortunately, for private reasons communicated to you directly, we have had to archive your submission and no longer consider it further. We're sorry to be the bearers of this disappointing news."

The Hearthean's Ship From Outer Wilds joins Gothic Castle as a set that's been removed from the review stage. In both cases, the LEGO Ideas team hasn't publicised the reason behind the set's removal. However, some possible reasons include interaction with third-party intellectual properties, product ideas based on competitors’ products, or some other feature that was deemed unsuitable by the LEGO Ideas review panel.
