After cats and otters, a vulture should be next for LEGO Ideas

LEGO Ideas is about to gain two new animal models, an otter and a cat, and after insects as well, one user thinks that a vulture is worth a set.

Animals have been consistent hits in LEGO Ideas lately, including 21342 The Insect Collection, 21349 Tuxedo Cat, as well as the upcoming 21366 Floating Sea Otters and 21376 Orange Cat. There's one area of the animal kingdom that LEGO Ideas hasn't properly explored in some time – birds.

Following 2015's 21301 Birds, we received 21365 Love Birds earlier this year with a pair of avian builds that aren't the whole focus of the set and aren't quite as detailed as the original LEGO Ideas birds. Birds would benefit from a bigger LEGO model with current-day techniques, and this could be sufficiently remedied with one LEGO Ideas user's pitch.

Jacker76's Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus Barbatus) uses 1,608 pieces to make a massive vulture model, complete with a display base as wide as a 32-stud baseplate. The figure is packed with detail using sloped elements and features unfolding wings, as well as plenty of other moving parts.

It's a much more involved LEGO bird build than even 10331 Kingfisher Bird, and isn't quite like anything in LEGO Ideas so far. For now, it joins the first 2026 review after hitting 10,000 supporters and will be considered for a future set.
