The MCU might have brought Iron Spider-Man into the public consciousness, but there’s much more to unpack in the source material for one of two new LEGO Marvel busts coming in 2025.
The LEGO Group has just unveiled 76326 Iron Spider-Man Bust and 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust, a pair of LEGO Marvel sets that are kick-starting a new superhero subtheme this summer. But while Iron Man is an obvious choice for any collection of buildable Marvel characters, this particular Spidey suit may seem like a bit of an odd pick at face value.
That’s only if your comic book character knowledge comes entirely from the silver screen, though, because while Iron Spider is a pretty cool variant of Peter Parker’s threads in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s much more significant than that in the original source material. And that’s partly thanks to what it says about the relationship between both of the characters represented in these busts.
It’s a narrative thread that adds another layer of intrigue and relevance to what might otherwise be a pair of relatively static display pieces, so it’s well worth learning about if you want to go deeper with 76326 Iron Spider-Man Bust and 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust.
