Every LEGO set retiring in 2023 – March update

March is a big month for the LEGO Group with the launch and reveal of many new sets already, but it's not quiet in the world of retiring sets either.

We're almost a quarter of the way through 2023, and there's still plenty of movement for the retirement dates for some of the oldest currently-available entries in the LEGO portfolio.

While new models including 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell may sit high on your wish list this month, don't forget the hundreds of retiring LEGO sets, some of which are only three months away from leaving shelves at the time of writing.

Here's your monthly guide to every LEGO set retiring in 2023 for March.

LEGO Star Wars

For Star Wars, you've got a bit longer to pick up 40615 Tusken Raider as that set's retirement has been pushed to 2024 at the time of writing. Otherwise, there are no immediate changes to be aware of.

LEGO Ideas

21339 BTS Dynamite has just landed on shelves, and won't be going anywhere any time soon. That's unlike the four sets below, the retirement dates of which are all still subject to change.

LEGO Marvel

Two of the three Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets coming on April 1 are scheduled to retire at the end of 2023, as well as 76256 Ant-Man Construction Figure, which launches on May 1. However, 76254 Baby Rocket's Ship is currently planned to stay on shelves for one year more.

LEGO Harry Potter

The first LEGO Harry Potter 2023 sets – and some Wizarding World DOTS models – are available now, but there are no notable changes to the theme's list of entries retiring before the end of this year.

LEGO Technic

While a new wave of LEGO Technic models is available now, there are only nine months (or fewer) left to pick up these retiring sets.

LEGO Icons

As 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell enters LEGO Icons, much of the theme is still planned to retire at the end of 2023 – including three modular buildings, a sitcom set and one of the biggest LEGO sets of all time.

LEGO Architecture

21054 The White House is the only retiring LEGO Architecture set in 2023 for the third month running. 21051 Tokyo was the only Architecture set to leave shelves in 2022, so this seems unlikely to change.

LEGO NINJAGO

Time is running out to buy the LEGO NINJAGO sets retiring at the end of July 2023, with a bit longer to pick up the rest of this list.

LEGO Batman / DC Super Heroes

With only one new set so far, Technic's 42155 The Batman – Batcycle, it could be another slow year for LEGO DC. However, that makes it a good time to catch up on these retiring sets.

LEGO Super Mario

Mario Day, or MAR10 Day, is fast approaching for 2023 and there are currently double VIP points on all LEGO Super Mario sets on the official online store, including these retiring models.

LEGO Creator

There's only one change in the LEGO Creator segment of the March 2023 retiring list, with 40468 Yellow Taxi now sticking around until the end of 2024 at the time of writing.

LEGO Speed Champions

More LEGO Speed Champions sets have just launched but as those are currently scheduled to be available past the end of 2023, you may want to prioritise these builds instead.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures

The Disney 100 LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series has been revealed and as such, there's a new entry on the theme's list of retiring sets. As usual, the series will only be available for a few months after its launch in May 2023.

LEGO Disney

Also split into two waves, the list of retiring LEGO Disney sets in 2023 no longer includes the three new BrickHeadz packs as they've swapped places with 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion.

LEGO Avatar

Some of the original LEGO Avatar sets are still scheduled to retire at the end of 2023, leaving a mix of models based on the first and second films on shelves in 2024.

LEGO Jurassic World

Only two LEGO Jurassic World sets are currently going to be on shelves in 2024, as much of the theme is retiring at the end of 2023.

LEGO Monkie Kid

LEGO Monkie Kid's selection of retiring models remains unchanged from our last monthly update.

LEGO City

There's a small change for LEGO City this month as 60335 Train Station's retirement has been pushed to 2024, removing it from the below table.

LEGO Art

Only 31208 Hokusai – The Great Wave is going to be left for LEGO Art at this rate, as there are still four of the five current LEGO Art models up for retirement at the end of 2023.

LEGO Friends

The LEGO Group has been keen to advertise the new cast of characters that debuted in LEGO Friends for 2023 with a new animated series recently starting. However, those looking to catch up may want to keep the following models in mind before they retire.

LEGO BrickHeadz

Seven LEGO BrickHeadz sets have moved from a 2023 retirement to a 2024 retirement, including new The Lord of the Rings, Disney and Star Wars caricatures.

LEGO DOTS

LEGO DOTS is ending entirely at the end of 2023 with the new Harry Potter sets being the last entries in the theme. However, not every model will make it to the end of the year as 41962 Unicorn Creative Family Pack is currently leaving production in July.

LEGO Minecraft

There are no changes to LEGO Minecraft's list of retiring sets this month, giving you a chance to catch up on the following game-inspired builds.

LEGO Seasonal

40499 Santa's Sleigh has had its retirement shifted to 2024 but otherwise, everything is the same for LEGO Seasonal this month.

LEGO Classic

LEGO Classic is similarly unchanged in March 2023, with the same sets retiring at the end of the year as in our February update.
