You’ll be able to find every LEGO Dungeons & Dragons minifigure you want in September using Brick Search’s minifigure scanner.
The LEGO Group’s switch to cardboard boxes from plastic foil bags for its Collectible Minifigures in 2023 was good news for the environment, and – after a false start with 71039 Marvel Series 2 – has now turned out to be great news for collectors, too. That’s thanks to the data matrix codes on the bottom of boxes, which you can scan with the Brick Search app to instantly identify the character hiding inside.
That means no more standing in store aisles awkwardly fondling foil bags, and a much more straightforward shopping process for anyone interested in the latest series of Collectible Minifigures – including the upcoming

The data matrix codes first appeared on 71045 Series 25 boxes in January, with a mix of smaller unreadable and larger readable codes depending on production runs and location. 71046 Series 26 Space then made the move exclusively to larger data matrix codes, and Brick Search proved instrumental in collectors all over the world seeking out a full set, their favourites or just a busload of Alien Tourist minifigures.
