First LEGO Jurassic World 2024 sets revealed

An online retailer has published the first images of two new LEGO Jurassic World 2024 sets, one of which may be the start of a new subtheme for the prehistoric line-up.

Pressing on independently of any new instalments in the cinematic franchise, the LEGO Jurassic World theme will debut at least two new sets in January 2024. One of those may be tied to the new Jurassic World: Chaos Theory animated series, which is a direct sequel to Camp Cretaceous, but it’s too early to say at this stage. The other, meanwhile, is a model seemingly entirely of the LEGO Group’s imagination.

All images of and details on these new 2024 releases have come from German retailer JB Spielwaren. Check out the two new LEGO Jurassic World 2024 sets below…

76963 Baby Dinosaur Rescue Centre

Price: €39.99 Pieces: 139 Release date: January 1, 2024

This 4+ set does what it says on the tin, delivering no fewer than five young dinos – including a baby Velociraptor, small Velociraptor, baby Ankylosaurus, baby Triceratops and Pterodactyl. 76963 Baby Dinosaur Rescue Centre also includes two minifigures of Darius and Sammy (both main characters in Camp Cretaceous, and both presumably returning in Chaos Theory), a research base and a jeep.

76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T. rex Skull

Price: €39.99 Pieces: 577 Release date: January 1, 2024

With a set name that suggests more dino fossils may follow, 76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T. rex Skull is a wholly original entry in the LEGO Jurassic World theme. It’s also purely a display model, complete with a slice of terrain bearing a dino footprint and a shiny gold plaque offering a Wiki-style guide to the ferocious dinosaur. The 577-piece set is due to retail for a respectable €39.99 in Europe.
