Five LEGO January 2025 sets that look like fair value at full price

Five LEGO January 2025 sets that look like fair value at full price

While there are a fair few LEGO sets in the January 2025 range that you’ll want to wait for a discount on, there are also some that look surprisingly good value at full price.

We’ve already run through January 2025’s most overpriced sets, from 76311 Spider-Verse: Miles Morales vs. The Spot to 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor, but to give the LEGO Group its due, not every upcoming release looks ready to rob you of your cash without offering up something sizeable in return.

Here are five sets then that you may want to target on day one at the LEGO Store in January, from new buildable flowers to a retro dragon…

5 – 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet

Theme: LEGO Botanicals Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 749 Release date: January 1, 2025

LEGO Botanicals 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet featured 1024x576

You’ve got to hand it to the LEGO Botanicals bouquets: while we’re seeing price rises left, right and centre across other themes, these have stayed a consistent £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. And it doesn’t look like there’s any ‘shrinkflation’ at play in 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet, which includes 749 pieces and a whole bunch of different flowers, almost all of which will offer up a new and interesting building experience.

You might be able to find it discounted after a few months, but you almost certainly won’t regret paying full price if you want it sooner.

4 – 60443 F1 Pit Stop & Pit Crew with Ferrari Car

Theme: LEGO City Price: £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 322 Release date: January 1, 2025

LEGO City 60443 F1 Pit Stop Pit Crew with Ferrari Car featured 1024x576

If you’re looking for an entry point into the new LEGO City F1 range, you could do little better than 60443 F1 Pit Stop & Pit Crew with Ferrari Car, which brings together probably the most popular racing brand, a detailed build with a fun function (the pit crew can swing round to snap to the car and start work), and five minifigures – all for a very reasonable £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99.

It’s just beyond impulse-buy territory, but cheap enough that you can justify paying full whack.

3 – 10350 Tudor Corner

Theme: LEGO Icons Price: £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 Pieces: 3,266 Release date: January 1, 2025

LEGO Icons 10350 Tudor Corner featured 2 1024x576

Despite containing the most pieces of any 32x32-stud LEGO modular building, 10350 Tudor Corner maintains the price point of 10297 Boutique Hotel and 10312 Jazz Club at £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99. That already puts it on the front foot, but consider too that this is easily one of the best modular buildings in years and includes a free 40757 Corner Kiosk GWP for early adopters, and this is one you should be happy to pull the trigger on come January 1.

2 – 72031 Yoshi Bike

Theme: LEGO Super Mario Price: £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 133 Release date: January 1, 2025

LEGO Super Mario 72031 Yoshi Bike featured 1024x576

If you prefer your racing to include fewer pit stops and more banana skins, you’ll want to turn your attentions to LEGO Super Mario’s Mario Kart line-up in January. While these sets still don’t contain minifigures (they’re instead compatible with the digital figures), the LEGO Group has shrewdly cooked up a few builds that act as standalone play and display pieces too – including 72031 Yoshi Bike, an affordable entry point to the range that’s also cheap enough to take the plunge on straight away.

1 – 31161 Medieval Dragon

Theme: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 715 Release date: January 1, 2025

LEGO Creator 3 in 1 31161 Medieval Dragon featured 1024x576

LEGO Creator 3-in-1’s still going from strength to strength in 2025, and most of us will likely have at least one eye on 31161 Medieval Dragon on January 1. The good news is that this 715-piece model – which evokes that classic LEGO dragon design language from the ‘90s – will retail for a very reasonable £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99, which makes it an easy pickup (especially when you factor in LEGO Insiders points and possible gifts-with-purchase in January).
