Five more subjects for LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Moments

The Hogwarts Moments line of LEGO Harry Potter sets grew this year with 2 more classrooms, and we know a few more subjects that need models.

At Hogwarts, a variety of magical academic topics are taught between the movies and the books and much of these have already received dedicated builds in the Hogwarts Moments series of sets, which depicts the classrooms with a teacher, students and accessories that fold up into a book.

As of 2022, the release of 76396 Hogwarts Moment: Divination Class and 76397 Hogwarts Moment: Defence Against the Dark Arts Class bring the total of moments up to six. Here are five more that we think could expand the subtheme in future.

5 – History of Magic

While it is called the most boring subject in Hogwarts, the History of Magic class may present the most interesting options for minifigures as the lessons are taught by ghost teacher Cuthbert Binns. We've seen ghost minifigures in LEGO Harry Potter before such as Nearly Headless Nick in 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets, so we know its possible to portray undead wizards and witches in bricks.

4 – Flying

This subject was recently covered in 76395 Hogwarts First Flying Lesson, including a minifigure of the teacher Madame Hooch. However, that model was not a Hogwarts Moment and we'd like to see it covered again in a widely-available model that offers another chance to grab the minifigure, with or without updates such as leg printing.

3 – Astronomy

This lesson might be familiar for LEGO Harry Potter fans as a small section of its classroom and teacher were both included in 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets. Considering the size and price of that build, another interpretation of Astronomy as a Hogwarts moment further down the line could add another subject to the growing subtheme, making any necessary changes to the minifigure too.

2 – Muggle Studies

While the layout of this classroom depends on what technological advancements, muggles have made, the way it is presented in the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery mobile game shows how creative the LEGO Harry Potter design team could be with it for a Hogwarts Moment, with a section of a plane and multiple phone boxes scattered around the room.

1 – Care of Magical Creatures

Hagrid last appeared as a non-gold minifigure in 75978 Diagon Alley but later in the films, he takes up a position as the teacher for the Care of Magical Creatures Class. From Nifflers to Hippogriffs, a Hogwarts Moment set for this subject could offer another chance to grab Hagrid as well as depict one or more new magical creatures in bricks, perhaps offering alternate instructions for more beasts.
