Smyths Toys stores in the UK will be giving away a free mini LEGO gift at an upcoming 90 Years of Play event next weekend.
UK retailer Smyths Toys will be celebrating 90 Years of Play with a special in-store event planned for July 9. Visitors to their local stores will be able to pick up a free mini LEGO gift from 9am on the day. There are no details as to what exactly the promotional item may be, but it’s entirely possible that the 30510 90 Years of Cars polybag could be up for grabs, although this is speculation for now.
The anniversary set is proving a little tricky to obtain, even though the model’s own designer recently posted on social media that it’s, ‘available now from select retailers.’ 30510 90 Years of Cars is a companion piece to 11021 90 Years of Play, a LEGO Classic set we reviewed right here. The polybag includes four mini-build recreations of vehicles from the company’s past – 392 Formula 1, 6538 Rebel Roadster, 7236 Police Car and 31079 Sunshine Surfer Van.
As well as the two sets listed above, the LEGO Group currently has a couple more 90th Anniversary sets scheduled for release this year to mark the company’s major milestone. These include reimagined versions of iconic sets from yesteryear in the shape of 10497 Galaxy Explorer and 10305 Lion Knights' Castle.
No purchase is required to get the free mini LEGO gift from Smyths Toys stores, although stocks are limited and only one promotional item will be available per visitor.
