Future LEGO Ideas Disney 100 set revealed

Future LEGO Ideas Disney 100 set revealed

The winner of the LEGO Ideas Disney 100th anniversary contest, which will be a future set, has been revealed with new minifigures proposed.

The challenge to decide which of five fan-submitted designs would be a future model celebrating the centennial of Disney on LEGO Ideas has ended and 2A2A's Disney Magic has come out on top. Announced today on the platform, the build uses fewer than 800 pieces, as was a requirement for the challenge and will now be transformed into an official build to be released in the future.

No further details for the official LEGO Ideas Disney 100 set are known at this time and there may be significant changes to the fan-designed submission. The model that was entered depicts a giant Sorcerer Mickey surrounded by dioramas of classic Disney moments from Pinnochio, Frozen, Lilo & Stitch, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella.

LEGO Disney 100 Years of Fairytales finalist 2

Official images of LEGO Collectible Minifigures of Elsa, a modified Stitch with long legs, Aladdin, Ariel and Pinnochio are included along with a completely custom Belle, who has yet to receive a minifigure.

Whether these will make it into the final design has yet to be seen, but this was the only submission out of the five finalists to feature minifigures. It could be a good way to catch up on these LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures, provided the LEGO Ideas team keep them in the finished set.

Many LEGO Disney 100 sets are currently available, including 43227 Villain Icons with some exclusive minifigures of iconic villains.
