The LEGO Group has revealed another colour-swapped version of a recent set in 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot, which follows this year’s 31136 Exotic Parrot.
That predominantly blue and yellow bird launched in March 2023, while its pink and blue counterpart will arrive on August 1. 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot has exactly the same number of pieces as 31136 Exotic Parrot, and looks to be built in exactly the same way – all that’s changed are the colours of both the bird and the flowers at its base.
The alternative frog and fish models are likewise identical, save for their colours. With 253 pieces in the box, 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot will match its predecessor’s price tag of £19.99 in the UK, $19.99 in the US and €24.99 in Europe.
This isn’t the first time the LEGO Group has offered an alternative colour scheme for an existing set: in September 2021, the company trialled multiple different hues for a handful of Creator and Creator Expert sets, including 31058 Mighty Dinosaurs and 10271 Fiat 500. That pilot program was clearly a success, given 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot is now this year’s second recoloured set.
The first is 41262 Bugatti Bolide Agile Blue, a colour-swapped version of March’s black and yellow 42151 Bugatti Bolide. It’s available alongside two other LEGO Technic sets from today, while 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot launches August 1.
