LEGO Editions 43019 Football revealed

The LEGO Group has unveiled 43019 Football, the second LEGO Editions set coming to shelves in March.

Joining 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy in the inaugural range of LEGO Editions sets in March is 43019 Football, a 1,498-piece display model that’s ‘almost 1:1’ with a real-life size 5 ball. This one’s obviously not designed to be kicked around a field, though: it sits on a black display base and according to the press release is intended to be ‘kids’ bedroom décor’. The age on the box is 10+ rather than 18+.

It looks like there’s plenty of Technic poured into the build as a result, but there’s more to 43019 Football than just its outer shell: push a button and it’ll reveal its interior, which houses a mini football stadium with tiny players celebrating a win. Fireworks positioned behind the podium can also move up and down.

This is the second LEGO set revealed under the new ‘Editions’ banner, which so far consists exclusively of football-themed builds. The other one is 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, and while there are legitimate concerns around the LEGO Group’s partnership with FIFA for that set, 43019 Football appears to be free of any FIFA branding. So, one to feel less conflicted about buying in March.

There is one clear discrepancy in the images provided by the LEGO Group, though: the front of the box (and the press release) states that 43019 Football includes 1,498 pieces, while the sticker on the side of the ball – that also amusingly reminds kids to ‘not actually kick’ it – says ‘1497 PCS’. Whoops.

While these first two LEGO Editions sets are football-focused, the rumoured slate for 2026 incorporates other sports too. Check it out in the table below, but remember that anything not yet confirmed should be taken lightly.
