The LEGO Group has announced a collaboration with FIFA for next year’s World Cup, kicking off with a life-size trophy set in March 2026.
43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy includes 2,842 pieces and will debut on March 1, 2026 for £159.99 / $199.99 / €179.99. It’s the first release in what the LEGO Group says will be a ‘special product portfolio’ announced ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, all produced in collaboration with FIFA.
The model is 1:1 scale with the real thing, and contains a hidden interior housing a LEGO minifigure with a moulded World Cup trophy. According to the press release, it also breaks the record for the most number of gold-coloured pieces in a single set, between both pearl gold and drum-lacquered gold.
“Collaborating with the FIFA World Cup 2026 presents an incredible opportunity to honour the world’s most iconic tournament and the global passion it ignites,” said the LEGO Group’s Chief Product & Marketing Officer Julia Goldin. “The FIFA World Cup Trophy stands as a universal symbol of achievement and unity, and now, through the creativity of the LEGO brick, fans everywhere can experience the excitement of it – piece by piece – in true LEGO style.
“This marks just the beginning of our collaboration, and we’re thrilled to unite families and fans around the world in celebrating football, imagination, and one of the sport’s most legendary symbols in a whole new way.”
