Take a trip through the cosmos with our visual tour of the newly-revealed LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets.
James Gunn’s final Marvel Cinematic Universe movie (before jumping ship to DC) arrives in cinemas on May 5, 2023. The LEGO Group is celebrating with a range of three different Marvel sets, ranging in price from £8.99 to £89.99 in the UK. And like the best superhero sets, they’re filled with things to spot and new characters to collect.
The good news is that we’ve already done the hard work, poring over these three brand new LEGO Marvel 2023 sets to pick out everything interesting we can see from the official images alone. The visual tour starts below, so climb aboard by scrolling down.
LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets
First things first: there are three LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets coming our way on April 1, consisting of 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters,

There’s a welcome mix of location builds and ships across the three sets – at least on paper. In practice, that location set is basically just a wall (but hey, it’s a cheap wall at £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99), so most of the budget in this wave is given over to the two new vehicles. The biggest of those is
It's a scaled-down version of the ship glimpsed in the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, because a true minifigure-scale version would be too colossal for words.
LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 minifigures
If you’re still buying superhero sets predominantly for their minifigures, good news: there are a whole bunch of new character designs to collect across these three Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets. The entire Guardians crew is represented between the trio of models, but you’ll need to buy all three to get them all, as Groot and Rocket are exclusive to 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters and
Hold up: did we say the entire Guardians crew? Because there’s one member of the gang conspicuous by their absence, just as she was in 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar. Gamora’s back from the dead in Vol. 3 – Marvel hasn’t shied away from that fact in its trailers – but she’s missing from this trio.
Present and correct, though, are two brand new characters in Baby Rocket (who uses an adorable LEGO Friends mould) and Adam Warlock, who’s being positioned as the antagonist (if not outright villain) of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Warlock in particular looks like an impressive mix of red and gold, complete with leg and toe printing.

But… why is Drax green again? Even on the box art for
LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 details
While 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters’ details are communicated almost exclusively through stickers, things get slightly more interesting with the two larger sets. Not massively so, mind: most of the budget in these ships is dedicated to capturing their unique and complex shapes, so they look pretty light on decoration.
LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 new pieces
While we’ll have to wait until we have our hands on the three LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets to know exactly which parts are brand new, there are a few recoloured elements that stand out from the images we have so far. Top of the list is obviously the reprinted LEGO Friends piece to represent Baby Rocket, which may be an early contender for the cutest LEGO character of 2023.
There are a couple of other cool recolours we can spot, such as the teal 6x4x2 windscreen and pink 6x4x1 windscreen elements used to capture the shape of
