LEGO Winter Village 10339 Santa’s Post Office officially revealed

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the LEGO Group pulls back the curtain on 10339 Santa’s Post Office, this year’s addition to the annual Winter Village Collection.

There are few festive traditions so cemented in LEGO as the Winter Village subtheme of LEGO Icons, with new sets dropping like clockwork on October 1 year in, year out. And 2024 is no different, as 10339 Santa’s Post Office will join the line-up at the beginning of next month for the usual price of £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. This year’s set dials up the whimsy to build a sorting office for letters to Santa Claus, complete with a hot air balloon.

The interior of the sand blue and nougat building – which is topped with snow-covered roofs, another tradition in this subtheme – incorporates a pair of chutes for dropping mail into a sorting machine, which can then dispense letters into red or green carts. It’s a fun concept for a Winter Village set even if ‘post office’ feels like a bit of a misnomer.

Also included are big red himself, four elves, the requisite Christmas tree, a small ice pond with a baby seal, and a signpost pointing to a couple of familiar Winter Village locations. It’s a wink and a nod to the closest contemporaries for 10339 Santa’s Post Office, 2014’s 10245 Santa’s Workshop and 2020’s 10275 Elf Club House, both of which take a more fantastical approach to the holiday season than (for example) 10325 Alpine Lodge.

With 1,440 pieces in the box, 10339 Santa’s Post Office is the fourth-largest Winter Village set of all time, behind only its three predecessors. It’s easy to explain away its 77 fewer parts than last year’s 10325 Alpine Lodge though: those large elements making up the hot air balloon probably don’t come cheap.
