LEGO Ideas 21376 Orange Cat can be another pet entirely

The inevitable hit that is LEGO Ideas 21376 Orange Cat has been remixed into another kind of furry friend, expanding a collection of LEGO pets.

You can now pick up the LEGO Group's second cat, 21376 Orange Cat, for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. It follows up on the first LEGO Ideas cat model with some recoloured parts and overall improvements. That first cat was an unexpected hit for the LEGO Group, prompting them to design a sequel set and the dog-centric 11384 Golden Retriever Puppy.

Whether the life-sized LEGO dog is satisfying for dog-lovers or not, Rebrickable user aranobilis98 has shared an alternate build for the cat creation that turns it into an accurate corgi model. The build uses most of the elements in 21376 Orange Cat and depicts the iconic breed in a different pose, lying down on its stomach.

You can still open the mouth of the LEGO corgi, and the eyes are still interchangeable, if a bit feline in nature. Despite that, the shaping of the build is excellent, rivalling that of 11384 Golden Retriever Puppy.

The rear of the model is appropriately designed, and there is even space for a storage spot and missile launcher in the middle of the corgi. Try not to question the missile launcher. The instructions for this alternate model cost $10, and the set itself is available now for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99.
