The latest LEGO Ideas challenge offers the chance to show your love for LEGO by designing an official Valentine’s Day set.
LEGO Ideas contests regularly result in new LEGO Ideas sets, whether as fully-fledged retail products or gifts-with-purchase, and the newly-launched ‘Build From the Heart’ challenge will be the latest to see the winning entry turned into an official model available to purchase in stores. The brief is simple: build what Valentine’s Day means to you.
Examples given by the LEGO Ideas team include ‘a symbol of love, a message from the heart [and] a sweet treat for your special one’, but the possibilities are endless… almost. Given the proliferation of the official LEGO Botanical Collection, flowers are off-limits, at least as the main build – you’re good to include them as decoration, but nothing more.

Entries are also limited to a maximum of 1,000 pieces, and must not include references to intellectual property (Star Wars, Batman and so on). The LEGO Ideas Review Board will choose five finalists from all entries, which will then progress to a fan vote to determine the overall winner.
