A new LEGO Ideas challenges has now gone live, with fan builders tasked with creating their own mini vision of space explorers voyaging across the stars.
A new year means a fresh LEGO Ideas challenges and this time the latest fan contest is blasting off to the stars. Creative types are being asked to share their own designs for space-based technological marvels and otherworldly environments, with some out-of-this-world LEGO prizes up for grabs.
The Micro Space Exploration challenge is now live and those who wish to enter the competition have until February 18, 2026 to submit their brick-built entries. The LEGO Ideas team is looking for tiny models that capture the spirit of adventurous astronauts and the cutting-edge tech of space exploration, which can be based on real-life or pure fantasy.

The essential part of the Micro Space Exploration challenge is that all of those LEGO builds must be microscale, with as much detail as possible being packed into each and every submission.
The results of the LEGO Ideas competition will be revealed on March 19, with one Grand Prize winner blasting off with copies of 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System, 31378 Space Exploration Telescope, 42179 Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit and
