LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is out in the world and, while 99% of the set knocks it out of the park, there are some challenges for the set to overcome.
When you love something, you want to see it succeed – and that also means looking at it honestly. The newly revealed 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is the LEGO Marvel set that X-Men fans have been waiting for, stacked with exclusive minifigures, some of which we've never seen before, and packed with references made just for fans.
However, there are certainly some critiques to be made. For example, the central character in the X-Mansion has to be Professor X and his minifigure, sharing a head with Bruce Wayne, Loki, Lex Luthor, and many more minifigures besides. While the defining characteristic of Charles Xavier is his bald head, the animated series that this set is based on also sees him feature some iconic eyebrows that could have helped this minifigure stand out.
Brick Fanatics' Matthew has some other foibles to dig into with 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion – which isn't to say he's not impressed with the set overall. Join him over at the Brick Fanatics YouTube channel for an honest look at the upcoming LEGO Marvel set, or click the embedded video below.
76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion launches November 1 for LEGO Insiders for £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99, before going on wider sale at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores on November 4. From November 1 to 7 (or while stocks last), all purchases of the new LEGO X-Men set will include 5009015 Cerebro, a brick-built model of Professor Xavier using his mutant-detecting device.
