LEGO Mini Disney Disneyland Castle rumoured to feature rare minifigure

The rumoured LEGO 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle is rumoured to include a rare minifigure that you may have missed.

Instagram user fateful_lego reports that the rumoured 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle is to feature 528 pieces for $39.99 and launch on June 1, 2024. Most excitingly though, it's rumoured to include a rare entry in a previous LEGO Minifigures series.

Aurora from 71038 Disney 100 is stated to return in 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle. She is currently available for nearly the same price as a bag of the series on BrickLink. The series has now retired and a comeback in 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle would offer those who missed out on 71038 Disney 100 another chance to pick up the princess.

The rumoured recreation of the Sleeping Beauty Castle using 528 pieces wouldn't just depict the castle as seen in the animated movie, but the centrepiece of Disneyland Park at the Disneyland resort.

This could mean that the rumoured 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle would pair well with the retired 40478 Mini Disney Castle, which depicts the Cinderella castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

The report that a minifigure is included with this rumoured set is interesting too as not every Mini Disney model has featured a minifigure. 40613 Mini Disney Palace of Agrabah includes no such character and 40708 Mini Disney Ariel's Castle opts for a mini-doll instead.

40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle is rumoured to launch on June 1, 2024, but it remains just a rumour at the time of writing and all unconfirmed details should be taken with caution until officially announced.
