LEGO One Piece's Chopper set is practically an anime model

A stylistic choice in the new LEGO One Piece Chopper buildable figure means that it's practically an anime set for One Piece enthusiasts to collect.

While most of the LEGO One Piece 2026 sets are minifigure scale, two stand out from the crowd, including 75643 Tony Tony Chopper. The 576-piece set comes with a buildable Chopper figure and accessories for £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99.

It's an attractive premise for One Piece enthusiasts, recreating the adorable character as he appears in live-action, though much of the design applies to the character from the anime, too. The eyes specifically opt for a cartoon-esque black and white design, which doesn't align perfectly with the look of the character in live-action.

Other live-action characters who have received buildable figures have opted for more realistic designs, such as in 21361 Gizmo. It would appear that the eyes in 75643 Tony Tony Chopper are a deliberate choice, making the figure more closely resemble Chopper from the One Piece anime instead.

It's a clever move from the LEGO One Piece design team to balance the line between an anime recreation and one based on the live-action. This is even though the theme is based on the live-action adaptation only. It wouldn't be the first time that the LEGO Group has crossed paths with an anime, even indirectly. NINJAGO has had an episode paying tribute to anime animation, LEGO Pokémon has just started, a Yu-Gi-Oh model is coming, and a Dragon Ball set is rumoured.

75643 Tony Tony Chopper will be released, accessories and all, on August 1, 2026, for £59.99 / $69.99 / €69.99. A full wave of sets based on the first and second seasons will be released that same day.
