Following an initial reveal at D23, the first official trailer for a brand-new Disney+ series of LEGO Pixar: BrickToons shorts has now dropped.
With so many major announcements coming out of this year’s D23 event, some of you may have missed the reveal of LEGO Pixar: BrickToons. The line-up of five animated shorts will be dropping on Disney+ on September 4, featuring all-new brick-built tales based on Coco, The Incredibles, Brave, Cars and Finding Nemo.
In addition to the recent news, the first official trailer for LEGO Pixar: BrickToons has now been released, giving fans a flavour what to expect from the series. The footage features minifigure, mini-doll and brick-built versions of many familiar Pixar characters, such as Lightning McQueen, Mater, Marlin, Dash, Merida, Miguel and more.
The description for LEGO Pixar: BrickToons mentions that viewers will be able to sing along with Miguel in the Land of the Dead, help Merida and her triplet brothers through a ‘beary’ rocky situation, take an epic field trip with Nemo, Marlin and Dory, watch the Parr family try to save the neighbourhood from Syndrome, and join Mater as he prepares Lightning McQueen for his next big race.
The length of each of LEGO Pixar: BrickToons short has yet to be revealed, but title cards for four of the animated outings were revealed at D23. While the voice cast for the series hasn’t been announced so far, many of the characters either sound exactly like their original movie versions or are at least impressive soundalikes.
All five LEGO Pixar: BrickToons shorts will be dropping exclusively for Disney+ subscribers on September 4, 2024.
