Seven LEGO sets launching October 1 that are perfect for display

October 2024 is shaping up to be a pretty stacked month for new LEGO releases, and there are at least seven sets readymade for display.

If you prefer to pop your LEGO sets on shelves and admire them from afar, October is the month for you. From Fortnite and Super Mario to Icons and Ideas, there are plenty of themes debuting new 18+ sets that are perfect for putting on display (provided you’ve got the space). All seven of these sets are available to order directly from LEGO.com from October 1, 2024.

21352 Magic of Disney

Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,103 Release date: October 1, 2024

While it comes with plenty of minifigures, 21352 Magic of Disney is geared entirely around display, with tiny vignettes surrounding a giant buildable Sorcerer Mickey. If you prefer your LEGO displays to include an explosion of colour, this is the one to aim for in October.

77000 Shadow the Hedgehog

He’s proved pretty polarising since being revealed earlier this year, but for those who can look past the Pez dispenser vibes, 77000 Shadow the Hedgehog is the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog theme’s first set designed solely for display. That’s good news if the playsets haven’t been doing it for you so far.

LEGO Icons Botanical Collection 10340 Wreath 10370 Poinsettia featured 1024x576

Are there any LEGO sets more displayable at the moment than the Botanical Collection? You’d be hard-pressed to find any so universally appealing at least, and 10340 Wreath and 10370 Poinsettia represent another pair of pitch-perfect display models that also happen to serve up a festive feast, just in time for the holiday season…

77072 Peely Bone

LEGO Fortnite 77072 Peely Bone featured 1024x576

LEGO Fortnite’s entire ethos is sets that combine the twin virtues of play and display, save perhaps for 77072 Peely Bone, where the focus is pretty much entirely on making sure it looks good on your shelf. The gaming theme’s only 18+ set to date stands triumphantly on a black display base and is sure to turn heads regardless of how much or little you care about Fortnite.

71438 Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi

Price: £114.99 / $129.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,215 Release date: October 1, 2024

It’s that time of year again when the LEGO Super Mario theme rolls out its annual 18+ set, and this year’s is a peach for those who remember the days of 16-bit video games. 71438 Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi incorporates some interactivity with a hand crank to simulate Yoshi running, but it doesn’t come at the cost of its display value.

31213 Mona Lisa

Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,503 Release date: October 1, 2024
