LEGO is shaking up its retiring sets schedule for 2026

The LEGO Group has shuffled its deck of retiring sets in a surprising and significant way for 2026, across themes including Star Wars, Marvel, Icons, Technic and more.

Most LEGO sets typically retire by December in any given year, with a handful disappearing in July – typically within themes such as City, NINJAGO and Super Mario. But the LEGO Group is shaking things up next year, bringing forward the planned retirement dates of dozens of sets from December 2026 to July 2026, from 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor to 10307 Eiffel Tower.

What does this mean for you? Well, it’s probably worth considering those sets on your wishlist that have been brought forward to July as part of your wider 2025 purchases, because you can no longer really put them out of mind until the middle of next year. July 31 is not a hard and fast deadline for retiring sets: they will likely leave production in the weeks and months running up to that date, so once remaining stock sells out they’re gone for good.
