LEGO Star Wars' new Yoda Bust is incredibly expressive

The most terrifying of the new LEGO Star Wars character busts is more expressive than first thought, offering unexpected incentive to pick it up.

Two new LEGO Star Wars character busts are launching later this month, just in time for May the 4th. This includes 75438 Yoda Bust, one of the most terrifying LEGO depictions of Yoda to date. The 399-piece model will cost £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 when it launches on April 26, featuring the top half of the titular character and a lightsaber build.

The bust recreates Yoda's unique head and face, making use of a new print to capture the bulging eyes. An early review from Solid Brix Studios has offered a closer look at the head's construction. There are four points of articulation on the face, and two more for the ears. These can all be used to put a variety of expressions on LEGO Yoda's face.

Whether you want the Jedi master to be angry, mildly concerned, curious or neutral, the Yoda bust is much more expressive than any other LEGO bust in history. Add to that the moving head, as well as the presence of the hands, and there's a lot of character in this character bust.

Whether this increases the appeal of the LEGO Yoda bust enough for you to pick it up later this month is up to your judgment. For £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99, the level of expression you can achieve with the Jedi may be worthwhile. 75438 Yoda Bust is due to go on sale alongside 75439 Darth Vader Bust from April 26 for £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99.
