Mads Mikkelsen is perfect to help build the LEGO Star Wars Death Star

There's only one person you need to help you build a LEGO Star Wars Death Star set, Mads Mikkelsen, and the actor has first-hand experience.

Whether you're building the newest LEGO Star Wars Death Star or one of the older sets, the massive models are great collaborative builds. There's one ideal candidate to help you put the massive models together, thanks to his fictional experience.

During a recent interview with Variety, Galen Erso actor Mads Mikkelsen revealed an interesting anecdote regarding a LEGO Death Star, and the realisation that he was the perfect person to help build it.

"A couple of years ago, at Christmas, my brother was there, and he’s a big LEGO fan, and somebody had given him the Death Star. Mikkelsen said. "For some odd reason, he just left the table and started building it, and he was struggling, and then it hit me: I can help out, because I created the Death Star in Rogue One."

Galen Erso designed the superlaser that made the Death Star iconic in the fictional Star Wars universe, and that experience isn't a bad tool to have on hand when you're putting together a LEGO Death Star. Notably, Galen has his first minifigure in 75419 Death Star.

There's no way to know which LEGO Star Wars Death Star set Mikkelsen's brother was building, though it's not the recent 75419 Death Star, since he mentions a prior Christmas and the 2025 set was only launched in time for this holiday season. That means it was likely either 10188 Death Star or 75159 Death Star.

Whatever LEGO Death Star it was, Mads Mikkelsen may be the most qualified person on the planet to help build the space station, thanks to his experience playing Galen Erso. 75419 Death Star is available now for £899.99/ $999.99 / €999.99, but personally enlisting Mikkelsen's help will be nigh impossible, and probably an extra fee.
