Monsters and theme parks mix in latest LEGO Ideas pitch

The worlds of Universal Monsters and theme parks have mixed on LEGO Ideas in a pitch that would be both new and familiar to the LEGO Group.

The first 2026 LEGO Ideas review has added another project to its ranks as patcdogg's Frankenstein Manor: Monsters Unchained! has reached the review round. It has taken approximately 11 months for the project to reach the necessary threshold to be considered for a LEGO Ideas set.

The castle facade is based on that of the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment ride at Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, featuring around 4,000 parts and a packed minifigure selection. That selection is suggested to include Victoria Frankenstein, Ygor, The Monster, The Phantom, The Mummy, The Wolf Man, The Bride, The Creature, and Dracula, all of which are either in the ride or the surrounding land.

A set based on Universal Monsters would be nothing new for the LEGO Group. Their brief experience with the property is limited to 2020's 40422 Frankenstein BrickHeadz, but it exists. What doesn't exist are any LEGO sets based on the Universal theme parks. The LEGO Group's partnership with Disney has led to several models based on their parks, with another rumoured.

This proposal would be both new and familiar territory for the LEGO Group, but with so many strong contenders in the first 2026 review, it will be interesting to see whether it stands a chance at being picked for a set. Here's what is currently featured in the first 2026 LEGO Ideas review.
