My April LEGO shopping list: TMNT and microscale models

My April LEGO shopping list is currently lighter than usual, focusing on three sets from Star Wars to a returning property in BrickHeadz form.

LEGO purchases will be lighter for me in April, so far, but there are a few sets that have caught my eye and will be finding their way to my shelves at some point next month. The biggest LEGO acquisition in April for me will be 75445 Anzellan Starship, part of the major The Mandalorian and Grogu wave launching on April 26.

The likes of 75447 The Razor Crest and 75444 AT-RT Attack don't immediately appeal to me, from their contents to their price points. I also have enough minifigures of most of these characters in my collection already. While I might pick up 75447 The Razor Crest on sale, the must-have model in the wave for me 75445 Anzellan Starship.

I love all things microscale and particularly enjoyed the Babu Frik minifigure in 75418 Advent Calendar. When I first saw 75445 Anzellan Starship, I fell in love with the concept. A ship that is both microscale and to scale with minifigures, thanks to the smaller characters that inhabit it, profoundly speaks to me. It won't take up too much space on display either, but it is brimming with small details. Given that's launching in late April, my bank account will be taking a smaller hit earlier in the month.

At the start of April, the only two sets that appeal to me include 40954 Germany Postcard, recreating several landmarks which I have enjoyed visiting on holidays in the past. I've been a huge fan of these affordable LEGO postcard sets and love having them on display in my office. I look forward to adding Germany to the line-up on April 1.

40878 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures is the other April 1 release on my LEGO shopping list for next month. The wide range of colour schemes is visually distinct, and I adore seeing TMNT back under the LEGO Group's umbrella. My fingers are crossed for more in the future, but this quarter of BrickHeadz will do for now.

It's a more affordable month, but I'm currently in the middle of moving into my first home, so that's probably for the best. I'm sure this won't be the case for long, given the upcoming May the 4th event, though. Click here for a reminder of every LEGO set currently confirmed for April 2026.
