Olympus and Interstellar embark into LEGO Ideas review

A mythicogical take on LEGO Architecture and movie-inspired sci-fi model make up the latest update to the first 2026 LEGO Ideas review.

Fans of science fiction and mythology are likely to take an interest in the latest update to LEGO Ideas' first 2026 review round. Two more submissions have joined the review after reaching 10,000 supporters, bringing the total number of projects in contention for a future set in this round up to 26.

Here's a closer look at each of the submissions and what they propose for the future of the theme.

Interstellar

Minibrick41587, the fan designer behind 21345 Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera, is trying again with their depiction of the Ranger vehicle from Interstellar. The 561-piece model pitches two minifigures of Cooper and Dr. Brand. These minifigures can be seated inside the vehicle, which has an opening door at the back. There are also figures of TARS and CASE in this proposal.

This project has gone unapproved for a set in a previous review round, but it now has a second chance of bringing the sci-fi film to the LEGO portfolio.

Mount Olympus & the Underworld- A Greek Mythology Microscale Diorama

The long-named Mount Olympus & the Underworld- A Greek Mythology Microscale Diorama comes from the mind of Tobnac. The user has been a part of many LEGO Ideas review rounds, but has yet to find success. Their latest proposal offers a mythological take on a LEGO Architecture sculpture, a theme which usually depicts modern or historical locations. Lift off the top half of the mountain, and you'll find the River Styx alongside the Underworld.

Should it be picked for a LEGO Ideas set, the Mount Olympus and Underworld diorama would be part of LEGO Ideas rather than Architecture. The theme's inspiration remains clear through the detail and microscale techniques, and would be right at home next to official Architecture sets.

These two projects have joined the first 2026 review, which now spans 26 projects.
