This may be the rarest LEGO Star Wars minifigure in history

One of the rarest LEGO Star Wars minifigures ever has been revealed, and even the most dedicated collectors will have a hard time picking it up.

The Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company, Asad Ayaz, has revealed an official minifigure based on them on Instagram. He attributes the minifigure to Julia and the LEGO team, likely referring to Julia Goldin, the LEGO Group's Chief Product & Marketing Officer.

The minifigure appears to have a unique face and torso design and comes with a lightsaber. It's also branded as a LEGO Star Wars minifigure on the packaging. The packaging incorrectly states that the minifigure has five pieces, but it has six overall. The packaging also features a 'Project Exclusive' label, mimicking the Comic-Con label that used to feature on event-exclusive minifigures.

The LEGO Group has been known to produce these unique minifigures as part of partnerships, such as the Peter Jackson minifigure shared by an ex-designer last year. While we know that there was more than one of the Peter Jackson minifigure, that is not confirmed to be the case for the Asad Ayaz version. This may be the only copy of the minifigure, and it's in the hands of the man himself.

It's certainly not an essential part of a LEGO Star Wars minifigure collection, given the loose connection to the franchise rather than the likes of fictional characters. That probably won't stop it from eventually selling to a dedicated collector for a huge sum, though. That Peter Jackson minifigure eventually sold for $40,000.

All you can do for now is admire the Asad Ayaz minifigure from afar and long for the days of adding a marketing officer minifigure to your LEGO Star Wars collection.
