Coming in at 1,173 pieces, the 18+ set – which launched in June 2021 – is far and away the biggest and most expensive model in the LEGO Botanical Collection, which so far runs to five different sets of flowers and plants. But that doesn’t mean it’s out of reach – especially as John Lewis has slashed a cool 20% off its price, bringing it down to just £71.99 in the UK.

10289 Bird of Paradise is a third-party exclusive for John Lewis, which means it’s only otherwise available from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores. Discounts through official channels are few and far between, so this is effectively your best bet for picking up the plastic plant without paying full price.

It really is the complete package for the Botanical Collection, which has gone from strength to strength this year with the addition of 10309 Succulents and 10311 Orchid.
