It looks like the writing’s on the wall for LEGO DREAMZzz, as the LEGO Group has pulled forward the retiring dates of this year’s releases.
Five new LEGO DREAMZzz sets have just hit shelves and were originally due to be available until the end of 2027, but the LEGO Group has now bumped up their retiring dates to December 31, 2026. That’s the date by which they’ll leave production (rather than a hard and fast date by which they’ll be pulled from shelves), so they could conceivably sell out before then.
At the same time, three 2025 sets that were previously scheduled to retire in July 2027 have had seven months shaved off their shelf lives. The end result is that every single LEGO DREAMZzz set will now retire by the end of 2026. And presuming no more DREAMZzz sets follow this summer or next winter, the theme will be gone for good this time next year.

This isn’t necessarily a surprise: in-house LEGO themes generally run for only a few years, at least beyond core properties like City, Friends and NINJAGO, so if this is the end then DREAMZzz has had a pretty good stint all things considered. Of course, short of official confirmation from the LEGO Group we’re really just connecting dots here, so don’t take this as absolute gospel.
The other consideration here is the theme’s accompanying TV series. Head of story Tommy Andreasen said earlier this year that he ‘can’t confirm a new season’ of the show is on the way, but did say that ‘something very special [is] coming later in the year’. A series of shorts designed to accompany the January 2026 sets – collectively titled Dream Guardians Unleashed – dropped earlier this month.
Whatever happens there, the clock is now ticking on the entire DREAMZzz portfolio as it exists in 2026. Check out the table below for the full slate, which (short of any further shuffling around) will be unavailable to buy at retail by the end of the year.
