One LEGO Ideas project in the next review round has been given the thumbs up by Tony Hawk himself, who hosted the budding fan designer.
Not long before the Tony Hawk Pro Skater LEGO Ideas proposal reached 10,000 supporters recently, fan designer Dave McClelland received as much support for the project as he could hope for. Tony Hawk hosted McClelland and his family earlier this year, taking a closer look at the LEGO Ideas submission and giving his seal of approval.
Hawk was able to get hands-on with a physical model of the proposal, too, more closely demonstrating what the pitched build can do.
Should the LEGO Group select this project for a future Ideas set, it's safe to say that Hawk will be on board. There would still need to be a discussion with Activision Blizzard, with whom the LEGO Group reviewed and seemingly ended a partnership concerning the Overwatch theme in 2022.
For now, this project is sitting in the first 2026 LEGO Ideas review and has a chance of being selected for an official set. Whether Hawk's support will increase its chances has yet to be seen, but it will be worth keeping an eye on this proposal.
